Just wondering what everyone thinks on this??? I feel 'Orchard park' sounds much nicer than 'Arbury park'....does anyone else have any thoughts on the subject? Also is this possible if enough people were intrested to have it changed? no idea of the legalities...anyone else know??

The stigma of 'Arbury' in our current name has to be said is undesirable and it would also make sense for the community encompassing the school to be called the same thing! I prefer Orchard Park.

The stigma is here to stay for at least 2 more generations I'm afraid Richard. Tell anyone you live in Orchard Park and they'll ask where that is. You'll tell them Arbury Park, and they'll think you're mental.

I think we've enacted the change to the name at the earliest opportunity possible...a lot of people still don't know where Arbury Park is, so I think it will only be a few years before the people who do currently know have fully adjusted to it being called Orchard Park. If you really want to scare people, tell them that the proper name for our development is Arbury Camps...Arbury Park is a made up name from Gallagher that they adopted a couple of years ago...how many people do you hear still referring to it as Arbury Camps? That's how long it will take for Arbury Park to be forgotten!

When I get the time I'm afraid - I'm going to use it as an opportunity to switch the hosting system to Joomla which is considerably cheaper to host and maintain. Unfortunately, time is in short measure at the moment...so it will not be started for a month or two. It's also not official for another month or so... Nick
