| This week sees the introduction of an exciting new project for residents of Arbury Park. ‘Travel Choice Arbury Park’ is a partnership project between Cambridgeshire County Council, South Cambridgeshire District Council and the Highways Agency that aims to provide you - the residents of Arbury Park - with helpful information on how you can travel in and around Cambridge.
To help deliver the project, one of a team of Travel Advisors will shortly be visiting your home. They’ll ask you what information and resources you might like them to provide you with in a personalised travel pack – individually tailored just for you!
With rising fuel prices, traffic congestion and global warming, the project will help provide you with all the information you need on the local travel options that are available to you - especially those that could save you money and get you from A to B more quickly!
Visits will only take a few minutes of your time, and if you are interested in participating, the Travel Advisors can offer a wide range of things, such as;
- Local bus timetables and route maps for services around Arbury Park
- ‘Taster’ bus tickets to allow you to try out these local bus services for free (courtesy of Stagecoach)
- Cycle maps for Cambridge and the city centre area
- Information about cycle training for residents
- Links to local car-sharing schemes
- A number of prize draws (just for Arbury Park residents)
What’s more, the project is absolutely free to residents of Arbury Park. All they need is a few minutes of your time!
The team will be wearing the blue project polo shirts, and will be cycling around Arbury Park over the next few weeks; so be sure to give them a wave and feel free to stop and have a chat!
