Is the rumour (from taxi drivers!) that they're not going to finish Arbury Park anymore correct?  Does anyone know any details??

Don't believe the taxi drivers...that's just gossip! The question is not 'if' but 'when' as the developers all have large amounts of money tied up in the undeveloped land...

The private builders have slowed down on their new and partially finished houses until the housing market picks up. It could easily be 5+ years before all the housing is complete

The RSL housing is almost complete.

The commercial land may not be built for a couple of years as this will be driven by demand. Same goes for the shops...

There is simply no reason why Gallagher have not built all the public open spaces, sports facilities, and why South Cambs have not built the first of the Local Areas of Play. These are all pre-agreed and not subject to the whims of the economy, and pretty much all the trigger points for their contractual delivery have passed.

The roads and pavements are the biggest issue and may not be finished until the whole site is finished...I plan to blog something on this as soon as I get a few minutes...

Sorry it's a bit rushed, but I have to get to work!!
