| Sitting in my flat the other day i was horrified to see rats scurrying about on the waste ground in Chieftain Way! Has any-one else seen our furry rodents and what can we do about them??? | | | |

| | We first saw rats about 2 months ago when the fly tipping on Circus Drive was at its worst. We reported it to Environmental Health along with the fly tipping. But it took them a week to come and clear it - even telling em at one point it had been cleared when I could still see the rubbish outside of my front door! We never heard specifically if they were going to address the rats we had seen. A complaint letter to Gallaghers perhaps? but I doubt that will help much. | | | |

| | Is there anything that can realistically be done to control rats given that there is so much waste ground? I don't know? | | | |

| Hi everyone, Today I've seen the biggest rat ever (almost rabbit size!). It was in the bins outside Circus Drive (tomorrow is waste collection) and it crosses the road to the pilot house from Laing homes. Do you think they should pay council tax? Certainly I can't believe I'm paying so much money to live in one of the most famous cities in the world (and the money I paid for my property) to live in this conditions. I hope something will change soon...It's difficult to live scared, it is dark, it is dirty, there are holes everywhere and now it is unhealthy. See you around | | | |

| We have had so much trouble with mice in our flat, Its disgusting and something has to be done. First we had a large mouse in our bathroom from behind the toilet, which thanks to the builders they had left a large hole open. Next we had one crawling on top of the kitchen work tops eating through packets of bread. Now we have them coming through our bedroom under the skirting board where there is a gap from the carpet half an inch thick all the way round, this time we managed to catch one. Now I get home ready to cook and they are leaving droppings and mites in the kitchen cupboard and in utensils, we are not dirty or messy but they seem to be coming from everywhere, i'm beginning to hate living here! Who else has had problems? | | | |

| Hmmm thats a lie because I have complained to them and we have had neighbour's mention it aswell, I will be calling them again tomorrow. They said last time we have to sort it, but its not our fault there are big gaps everywhere, surely its to do with the building and they should fix it, especially as its in the 1st year of the warranty? | | | |

| | They were very good when i called them, a guy came out that evening and filled the holes with wire wool and that expanding foam stuff. I haven't seen any more yet since that, but am on guard, and have traps down in all the rooms. Not a nice way to live!! | | | |
